Actor Emraan Hashmi has recently been diagnosed with dengue. The actor was shooting for an upcoming movie in Mumbai’s Goregaon when he was diagnosed with his vector disease. After undergoing medical evaluation and tests, doctors advised the actor to take at least a week’s rest before resuming his work.
As reported by BollywoodHungama, Emraan Hashmi was shooting in Aarey Colony, Goregaon, Mumbai. The report quoted a source who said, “Emraan Hashmi was shooting for OG in Aarey Colony, Goregaon, Mumbai. That’s where he contracted the disease. He was not feeling well and had dengue-like symptoms. On the recommendation of the doctors, he got his tests done. The test confirmed that he is suffering from dengue.”

How to Protect Against Dengue During Indian Monsoons?
- Remove standing water from containers, pots, coolers, tyres, and other areas where mosquitoes can breed.
- Use mosquito nets and screens on windows and doors.
- Wear full-sleeved clothing and long pants, especially during early morning and late afternoon.
- Change water in flower vases, bird baths, and pet bowls every alternate day.
- Introduce larvivorous fish like guppies in ornamental ponds to control mosquito larvae.
- Be extra cautious, as the Aedes mosquito breeds in clean, stagnant water and becomes more active during the rainy season.
