Ever since it was confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will be gracing the Met Gala 2025, his fans cannot keep calm. A latest report put an end to speculations and confirmed that the Bollywood superstar will be walking the Met Gala 2025 carpet in a Sabyasachi ensemble. This will make Shah Rukh the first actor to attend this prestigious fashion gala.
While we wait to see how Shah Rukh Khan manages to turn heads as he walks the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on May 5, here’s a throwback to when the actor served looks in Sabyasachi Jewellery. For his appearance at the IIFA 2024, the actor kept it sharp and suave with his choice of jewellery.
At the NEXA IIFA Awards 2024, Shah Rukh Khan wowed everyone with his sharp look. The actor opted for a brown satin shirt, and he had left the top buttons open. He layered the shirt with a dark-hued shiny leather blazer, and he had rolled up the sleeves for a chic appearance. He paired these tailored dark green pants and a bronze-hued belt.
For the accessories, Shah Rukh opted for an 18-carat rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet. The Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked watch came with a gem-set bezel and an intricate open-worked dial. Apart from this luxurious watch, Shah Rukh upped the luxury quotient by opting for a stack of gold necklaces from the shelves of ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. While one of the gold necklaces featured a gold and amber-hued pendant, the other featured the Bengal tiger motif, which is Sabyasachi’s signature style element.
For the glam, the actor flaunted a trimmed beard and used hair gel for a slick back look.
About the Met Gala 2025
The Met Gala is scheduled for May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s theme, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,’ draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The exhibition will delve into the history and impact of Black menswear, tracing its journey from 18th-century Europe to its powerful presence in modern fashion. With the dress code set as ‘Tailored for You,’ attendees are expected to bring their unique interpretations of this rich cultural narrative to life.
