Mansory’s Purosangue Is A Crime Against Taste But You’ll Click Anyway

Designing a good-looking SUV isn’t exactly a walk in the park, but credit where it’s due, as we think Ferrari pulled it off with the Purosangue. Sure, some have compared it to a Mazda CX-30, but it’s sleek, distinctive, and clearly part of the Italian Stallion lineage.

Unfortunately, all that style got thrown out the window last year when Mansory decided to work its particular brand of design magic on the Purosangue. The result was the “Pugnator,” a name that sounds like it’s trying way too hard, much like the car itself.

Now, the tuner is looking to offload one of its heavily modified Purosangues. This one’s finished in a stealthy matte black and is drenched in so much forged carbon fiber that it beggars belief. It’s as if Mansory received a surplus shipment of carbon and decided to stick it on the Ferrari wherever possible.

The front of the Pugnator is particularly outlandish. There is a new blacked-out grille and a sharp front bumper and splitter, complete with narrow LED daytime running lights. Mansory has then fitted a forged carbon hood filled with vanes and vents, adding some aggression to the Ferrari that it didn’t really need.

The wheels are equally loud measuring 22 inches up front and 23 inches at the rear with black spokes and yellow accents. Mansory then added forged carbon fender flares layered on top of the original fender flares, because apparently one set wasn’t enough. There’s more carbon down the sides, with rocker panels and trim behind the windows all following the same pattern.

Whereas the front almost starts to look good if you squint very hard, the same cannot be said about the rear. It includes an intricate roof spoiler with yellow endplates and a forged carbon fiber bumper and diffuser package. There are also quad-stacked exhausts, just like an old Ferrari California.

Plenty of alterations have been made inside, too, although they are a little less outlandish by comparison. The seats, door panels, and dashboard are now trimmed in new soft-touch black Alcantara with yellow piping and stitching. Mansory has also added yellow seat belts and a Rolls-Royce-inspired starlight headline.

Anyone interested in cruising around in this Purosangue will be pleased to know the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 has been tuned and a new exhaust added, allowing it to deliver 745 hp and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. There’s no word on the asking price, but considering the modifications and the badge, it won’t be cheap – financially or visually.
