Thieves Celebrate Stealing Sports Cars By Doing Donuts Outside Dealership
admin April 12, 2025 ArticleThe suspects apparently were thrilled with their score, laying down some rubber before fleeing the scene

- The thieves broke into a Wisconsin dealership and made off with two sports cars.
- They took a Corvette and a Challenger out onto the road to do donuts before fleeing the scene.
- Authorities are still looking for suspects and the stolen cars.
Car thieves don’t always need to be subtle—but donuts in the street before vanishing into the night? That’s certainly one way to make an exit. Now, Schoepp Motors in Middleton, Wisconsin, is working to tighten security after two high-profile cars were stolen in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police still don’t know where the suspects or the cars are.
According to the Middleton Police Department, two masked suspects broke into Schoepp Motors around 2:20 am Sunday. They looked around and attempted to steal a red Corvette that evidently had a manual gearbox. Because of the third pedal, it seems that they, like other attempted thieves before them, were unable to steal it. No matter for the criminals, though, because they soon found keys to an automatic Corvette Z06 and a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

Security footage shows the pair of individuals making off with the cars, but before they vanished, they performed a few donuts at the intersection of Tribeca Drive and Century Ave. Craig Blevins, a manager at Schoepp Motors, tells WKOW that this wasn’t the work of a quick team.
He arrived at the dealership on Sunday morning to do some work and quickly realized something was wrong. “[If] they stayed here any longer, we would have had to charge them rent. They were here for a long time,” Blevins said.
He added that at first glance, things didn’t look too bad: “I looked through the front windows and I saw our red Corvette that’s parked in our showroom in the front, so I felt a sigh of relief when I saw that vehicle still here.” That relief didn’t last long. Blevins immediately contacted Middleton police and dealership owner Mr. Schoepp. Officers arrived within minutes, but by then, it was clear the building had been ransacked.
For now, police are hoping that someone will come forward to help them find the cars and the suspects. Anyone with information can contact Middleton police at 608-824-7300 or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
