2025 Lexus LX Gets Huge Price Hike As New Hybrid Joins Lineup

The base price has jumped $13,935 as Lexus has eliminated the entry-level LX

Lexus introduced the 2025 LX last fall and the model is now making its way to dealerships. However, you’ll want to prepare for sticker shock as pricing has jumped from $92,915 to $106,850.

That’s an increase of $13,935 but things aren’t as bad as they seem as the entry-level trim has been eliminated for 2025. The LX now comes standard in Premium guise, but it still costs $5,985 more than last year’s variant.

So what does that extra money get you? Not much besides a newly standard wireless smartphone charger, increased body rigidity, and new cab mount cushions that promise to significantly reduce low-frequency vibrations. Engineers also retuned the steering system to enable a more “linear response” without compromising off-road performance.

That’s not much to get excited about, but the LX Premium comes nicely equipped with LED lighting units, illuminated running boards, and a power liftgate with a kick sensor. They’re joined by a moonroof and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Lexus LX 600

Moving inside, there’s no shortage of screens as drivers will find a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a 7-inch display for climate controls and the Multi-Terrain Select system. The LX Premium also comes equipped with a heated steering wheel as well as heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a power folding third-row.

Elsewhere, there’s a power tilt and telescoping steering column as well as a center console mounted Cool Box. Other highlights include thematic ambient lighting and a ten-speaker audio system.

All models come equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite, which includes All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. They’re joined by Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, Intelligent High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.

Other standard driver assistance systems include Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The model also has a Panoramic View Monitor, a Multi-Terrain Monitor, and Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking.

Lexus LX 600

Aside from the LX 600 Premium, there’s the $113,850 LX 600 F Sport Handling and $115,850 LX 600 Luxury. Both echo their predecessors but have price hikes of $6,725 and $6,985, respectively.

Power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine producing 409 hp (305 kW / 415 PS) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system with a limited-slip locking center differential.

This setup enables the luxury SUV to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h). In terms of fuel efficiency, owners can expect 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

LX 700h Is A Performance-Focused Hybrid

The big news for 2025 is the addition of the LX 700h. It’s slightly longer than the regular model and features a hybridized powertrain that consists of a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6, a ten-speed automatic transmission, an electric motor, and a nickel-metal hydride battery.

Lexus didn’t have much to say about the powertrain, but it boosts the output to 457 hp (341 kW / 463 PS) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque. Those are sizable gains and they lower the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 6.4 seconds. However, fuel economy numbers are largely unchanged as the hybrid only gets 19 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined.

Lexus LX 700h

The LX 700h starts at $115,350 and comes standard in Overtrail guise. As the name suggests, it’s a rugged variant that features front and rear locking differentials as well as 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. Buyers will also find a front skid plate as well as an appearance package that adds a matte gray grille, black door handles, dark gray roof rails, dark chrome trim, and black fender flares. Other highlights include all-weather floor liners and a 2,400W AC inverter.

The LX 700h is also available in F Sport Handling, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury trim. The latter is notable for featuring a four-seat interior with second-row captain’s chairs that have heating, ventilation, and massage functions. They’re separated by a center console with a wireless smartphone charger, while the right seat occupant will find a power ottoman.
